Affordable, High Quality Christian Education
Did you know that you can fund scholarships for private Christian school DCS students, and the State of Georgia will award you a tax credit for the same amount? We all have to pay state taxes anyway, so why not participate in the Qualified Education Expense (QEE) Tax Credit program and benefit yourself and Dunwoody Christian School?
Participating costs you nothing!
All DCS families, friends, and local businesses who pay taxes in Georgia should reserve their
QEE Tax Credit by Dec. 31. You don’t have to pay anything prior to Dec. 31, all you have to do is “reserve” the tax credit and choose “Dunwoody Christian School” on the application. You will have time to determine the actual amount you want to contribute by March 31. And then, when you file your Georgia state taxes, you will get all your money back as a tax credit (plus you can claim a deduction on your federal tax filing)… so it really costs you nothing in the long run. This tax credit makes our affordable Christian school even more affordable! If you are a business owner, please reserve your tax credit through your business to gain the maximum benefit.
OUR COMMITMENT
DCS is committed to providing affordable Christian school tuition rates, while maintaining our high curriculum standards and hands-on educational experience you expect from a private school. Like many other private schools, DCS tuition is intentionally set below the full cost needed to operate the school. This helps keep DCS more affordable to a wider range of families. The DCS Annual Fund then allows our school community (parents, friends, extended family, local businesses, and other DCS partners) to make up the deficit through tax-deductible donations.
SHARING 10%
Each fiscal year, DCS sets aside 10% of every non-designated donated dollar to be used for financial aid. DCS utilizes “FACTS Grant and Aid Management” to provide a financial aid assessment. When your confidential FACTS application is completed, FACTS assesses the financial needs of the applicant, and provides a recommendation to DCS on the level of financial assistance. DCS will weigh very heavily the FACTS scoring and recommendations of each application, but reserves the right to allocate funds based on factors outside of the FACTS process.

AFTER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED
